About the Judson C. Ward Room

The story of more than 80 years of Emory history is told through artifacts, many of them donated by Ward himself. Judson C. “Jake” Ward 33C 36G was dean of alumni from 1985–2009. Ward’s contributions to the Emory community ranged from student leader to professor, administrator, dean, and interim president. Ward has served as the dean of alumni since 1985, and his wisdom, sense of humor, and dedication to Emory are invaluable to all who know him. Tokens of recognition that he has received decorate the walls of the room, such as the Award of Honor of the EAA, the Thomas Jefferson Award, and the Freedom Foundation Award.
